The cheapest solution for digitizing your hotel is also the best

When you start comparing the solutions to digitize your hotel, the names are almost always the same: Samsung LYNK Cloud, LG Procentric, Philips CMND. All promise “intelligent” TV, centralized management, some welcome page. In fact, what they offer is mainly technical control over televisions. The work of communication, sales of services and design of the guest experience remains almost everything on the back of the hotel.

Hech Romeo was born to overturn this logic: it is a complete digital concierge, a web app that puts in the center not the TV, but the host and the services you want to sell, using TV, smartphone, monitor and web as a single ecosystem.

What really do LYNK Cloud, Procentric and CMND do

LYNK Cloud from Samsung is a platform designed to manage content on hotel TVs: Technical course for staff, remote configuration, a standard welcome page. It is useful to place order in channels and settings, much less to build an editorial, multilingual and commercial project. Privacy management is also partial: the TV reset is not automatic, it must be done manually by the staff to each guest change, with the concrete risk that something escapes.

Procentric of LG is the LG side consideration, with the possibility – still widespread – to install a physical server with Procentric Direct. The server requires complex configurations, dual network card, IT skills that not all hotels have. Respect of the GDPR passes by internal check-in and check-out procedures: if the flow is not followed to perfection, the TV remains in an intermediate state and the system must verify that the room is not “in check-in” through off-screen procedures, little intuitive for the staff.

Philips CMND follows a similar approach: platform to control TV and content, differentiated licenses, dedicated module for the “virtual cast”, app control function to manage installed applications. Here too the heart remains the technical management of the devices; the part of storytelling, sale of services, integration with the rest of the digital communication of the structure is not the main focus.

In all three cases the scene is repeated: platforms designed for network supplements more than for hotel marketing department; valuable functions for those who keep channel lists, but limited for those who want to use the screen as a real commercial channel.

Hech Romeo is, in fact, the most convenient choice

Thanks to its modular offer in 3 levels: Lite, Premium and Full, Hech Romeo, not only is the best technical answer for remote management of TVs in the rooms, but it can become a unique platform that connects TV, QR code, browser and monitors from a single management. The same information structure – digital directory room, menus, lists, promotions, activities, ancillary services – is designed once and made available on each screen: TV in room, guest smartphone, totem in reception, website.

Instead of technical courses to learn a rigid interface, there is a project work: an editorial and graphic team helps you build content map, categories, subcategories, navigation paths. Then comes the management: a simple, multilingual web backend, from which the staff can independently update texts, images, menus, times and lists, without having to physically enter the room or reprint PDF.

The economic difference is seen in time. With LYNK Cloud, Procentric or CMND, you often end up using the platform only to keep the channel list and a handful of static screens, while for the rest you continue printing materials, updating documents and managing manual processes. With Hech Romeo each update is central: the new restaurant promo or the new spa list appear immediately on TV and smartphone, in all languages set, without extra costs and without duplicate work.

Plus, Hech Romeo is designed to sell: the guest can consult services, add them to a cart, book activities, tables, transfers, directly from the web app, with real-time notifications to the departments involved and a centralized booking calendar. The competitors quoted, on the contrary, remain mainly “old” techniques without real function of internal e-commerce.

Less layers, less risks, more results

One last point concerns complexity: TV manufacturers solutions often require to put together multiple levels – brand platform, third-party client apps, any physical server, internal policy for GDPR reset – with different contracts and referents. Hech Romeo replaces this layering with a single interlocutor: same platform, same technical team, same editorial project.

If the goal is really “digitalizing the hotel”, not enough to be able to change a screen on TV: needs a system that keeps hospitality, communication and sales together. In this sense, the cheapest solution is not the one that cuts the price on TV management software, but the one that saves you time, reduces errors on guest data and generates more ancillary revenues throughout the stay.

This solution is today the digital concierge Hech Romeo.
